Our Story
After While Goods started with a phrase we heard our whole lives.
Growing up in the mountains of Appalachia, people rarely said goodbye. They'd say, "See you after while."
It wasn't formal. It wasn't dramatic. It was just understood that paths would cross again.
That simple phrase stuck with us.
As we got older, we realized it represented more than a regional saying. It reflected a way of life—one that values slowing down, staying connected, and appreciating where you are before rushing off to the next thing.
That's the spirit behind After While Goods.
We're a small brand inspired by the places that raised us: winding mountain roads, ridge-top views, old farms, gravel driveways, trailheads without signs, and the kind of towns where people still know your name. The Southern Appalachians are stitched into everything we create because they're stitched into who we are.
The goods we make are designed around that feeling.
They're for early mornings when the fog hangs in the valleys. For long drives with no destination. For evenings spent around a fire with friends. For hikes you've done a hundred times and still aren't tired of. For anyone who feels more at home outside than in.
We aren't interested in chasing trends or creating things that only last a season. We want to make products that become familiar—the hat you always grab on the way out the door, the shirt that somehow gets better every time you wear it.
At the end of the day, After While Goods isn't really about clothing.
It's about remembering where you're from, staying connected to the places that matter, and making room for the moments that tend to pass by too quickly.
We're glad you're here.
See you after while.
